It's been a busy week, and I can't believe I'm saying that on a Tuesday! And it's not even Tuesday, yet, now I come to think about it...
I've been buying fabric for restocking my bags and things. This week I've been to Shamrock Linen in Devizes, where they've just declared me part of the fixtures and fittings (I don't know if that's a good thing, and oh, how I wish they'd get a decent website, it would make my life so much easier...I mean, I love to support local businesses, but sometimes it would be easier to browse from my kitchen table...ramble). BUT they did have some lush new fabric - here's a sneak preview of one of the bags-in-progress from this weekend.
I've also been concentrating on one of the other aspects of my life - the band. Lavington Bound are me, Ed Hanfrey, Roger Scully and Evonne....oh, I don't know her surname....Anyway, our current project is an album of songs based on Sir Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels, which we were lucky enough to be allowed to do after randomly playing a gig for the man himself and some of his dedicated fans in Wincanton... Check out the Cunning Artificer if you're a fan. Our album is just finished, and we're looking forward to Hogswatch this Saturday. Here's some of our music, if you fancy a listen...
What with that, and studying, and the necessary (and quite fun) day job, there hasn't been much time to update the shop, but I promise I will very soon! Very best wishes, Bag Lovers!
Oh my goodness, and I forgot to mention, also a fab weekend at Spirals Market in Marlborough (here's a photo of my stall) and at The Circle Nursery in Avebury for their Candlelit Winter Fair! Thanks to all the organisers, customers, and fellow stallholders!
I buy pretty fabrics and make stuff...
